Cloudflare publishes DNS changes quickly, which makes verification fast. Keep the VoraMail setup wizard open to copy values.
Open DNS records
- Sign in to the Cloudflare dashboard and select your domain.
- Go to DNS → Records and use Add record for each record below.
Ownership TXT
- Type: TXT
- Name:
_voramail-verify - Content: the
voramail-verify=…value - TTL: Auto
MX
Delete any existing MX records for the root of your domain (for example Cloudflare Email Routing records), then add:
- Type: MX · Name:
@· Mail server:mail.voramail.bulletplushosting.com· Priority: 10
If Email Routing is enabled for the domain, disable it first. Email Routing manages its own MX records and will conflict with VoraMail.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC
Add three TXT records:
- Name
@: the SPF value. Only onev=spf1record is allowed per domain; merge with an existing one if needed. - Name set to the DKIM host from the wizard (ending in
._domainkey): the DKIM value. - Name
_dmarc: the DMARC value.
TXT and MX records are never proxied in Cloudflare, so there is no orange-cloud setting to change for these records.
Verify
Click Verify DNS in VoraMail. On Cloudflare this often succeeds within a minute or two.
Troubleshooting
- Ownership fails: make sure the name is
_voramail-verify(Cloudflare shows it as_voramail-verify.yourdomain.comafter saving, which is correct). - MX fails: confirm no other MX record exists and the mail server is exactly
mail.voramail.bulletplushosting.com.
